LUS Fiber is now offering the fastest residential internet speed in the state.
The internet provider announced Tuesday that it will offer speeds of 10 gigabits per second to residential customers for $295.95 per month, according to a release.
LUS Fiber was also the first to offer 1 gbps service in 2012 and 2 gbps service in 2017. Before LUS Fiber launched, the fastest speed available to residents was 50 mbps.
“When we laid out our initial telecommunications infrastructure, we insisted that the lines be 100 percent fiber,” said LUS Fiber director Terry Huval in a statement. “By doing so, LUS Fiber has been able to make monumental leaps, like this one, with natural advancements and upgrades to our system.
