Local physician and King of Mardi Gras Michael Judice reigned supreme as King Gabriel and held court at the traditional luncheon on Feb.11, the Sunday before Fat Tuesday.
Judice welcomed his queen and her court to the gala, which drew hundreds to the Cajundome Convention Center. Judice is a life long resident of Lafayette and a well known pediatrician in Acadiana.
He called his rein as king a unbelievable honor but credit to all krewe members, float riders, ball choreographers and hundreds of volunteers fro making the magic of Mardi Gras a reality.
We have to say, while all the maids were stunning, it was Judice’s grandsons, Camden and Henry, who stole the show.
